Monika attributes much of her accomplishment to an aptitude for solving problems with pragmatism and prudence. “I help clients make informed decisions using logic and sound reasoning because buying or selling a home is a major life decision that must be handled with care,” she says.
An inveterate traveler and Floridian by choice, Monika observes that, “livability and lifestyle are synonymous around the world when someone thinks about Miami, Palm Beach and South Florida in general. Our prices have risen, of course, but compared to other world markets, our price per square foot, even in premium locations, is still quite affordable. In mid 2016, Miami-Dade County residential properties are at 2004 price levels, as are prices in Palm Beach County. Domestic and international home-buyers are taking advantage of Florida’s prices, and are finding Miami’s prices extremely attractive compared to other world-class global cities.”
What is fascinating about our area is that it’s gorgeous and so culturally diverse, yet respectful of all. The arts thrive here because of that mix of cultures. We have people from all over the world, and geographically it’s also wonderfully located to provide easy access to the world. But, when you need a little breathing space away from the world, we have these incredible stretches of value along the Palm Beach Coast and the inland areas, where the weather is beautiful, and almost everything that says “Florida” to people, from Miami to the Mouse, is close at hand – it’s just not quite as close and in your face. With a family background in finance, law and real estate development, Monika grew up in Europe, South America and the United States, and is fluent in several languages (among them English, French, Portuguese, German, and Spanish). She holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and an MBA in International Business and has worked in several countries. As a result of this background, Monika is extremely comfortable in international settings and has an extensive and varied network. This contributes to her ability to serve her clients in a world in which it is not uncommon for the perfect buyers of a property to be in another country.
A firm believer in the value and challenge of lifelong education, Monika has earned several real estate designations as well. She is a Graduate, Real Estate Institute, (GRI), an Accredited Buyers Representative and a Certified International Property Specialist, (CIPS). Additionally, Monika is a member of the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing, a designation that assures affluent buyers and sellers of her expert knowledge of high-end properties. Her affiliation with Christies International Real Estate and Luxury Portfolio only helps to boost her international reach.

As Monika puts it: “In this business, as in so many others, technology has been transformative. When people talk about real estate technology, a lot of people think back-end - or email campaigns and CRM (Client Relationship Managers)- or the front-end client acquisition, gee whiz software and apps- and those are all great tools! But I think the most important duty for real estate agents, especially when we’re entrusted to list and sell a client’s home, is how we showcase our properties and how we maximize our marketing power in order to get the best price for our clients.”
She goes on to add: “I believe that the best way to approach this aspect of our job and present a client’s home to the largest possible audience, is through front-end video. We record all of our listings with HD cameras, and work to infuse them with texture and experience. It’s about tailoring the narrative and telling the truest story in order to attract the right buyer for each property. This has cut our showing time by 90 percent. We send a link to both agents and clients, which puts people on the same page and reduces confusion.”
It’s about results: “I’ve found this has really struck a chord with our clients, which has led to us getting more listings, selling them in a shorter amount of time, and for a higher price.”
In the end, whether helping her clients to buy or sell their Florida property, Monika’s real expertise is matching the right people to the right property. As she says, “my approach is straightforward: identify the need and persist until you devise the best solution.” And while the bottom line is always present, after all its perfectly reasonable to desire the best return on our investment within as few list to-sale days as possible, when it all comes together, “I draw inspiration from being able to close the deal so that people walk away happy. ”
